Ann Kamene Musyoka

Profile

Sister Ann Kamene Musyoka, ASN, is a member of the Women Faith Leaders Fellowship 2024-2025 cohort. She is affiliated with the Assumption Sisters of Nairobi in Kenya, and has experience in working with women living with HIV/AIDS, girls with disabilities, elderly people, children, and youth. She holds a diploma in social work and community development and a degree in development studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). Her extensive work in rural Kenya has given her deep insights into the cultural challenges that limit women's access to financial services, education, employment, trade, and political representation—factors that perpetuate poverty among women. Passionate about empowerment, she is a strong advocate for the rights of marginalized groups and dedicates time to educating communities on how to mainstream relevant changes in various sectors to create inclusivity and ensure that all people can participate in development. She is a trainer of trainers on aging, HIV/AIDS, and child protection.Â
