Sister Bridgita Samba, SSJ, is a member of the Women Faith Leaders Fellowship 2024-2025 cohort. She is affiliated with the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa, Kenya, and is currently serving as the secretary general of the Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA). She has a background in journalism and media studies, as well as in interreligious dialogue and Islamic studies. She is passionate about girl child and womens' education, as well as pastoral initiatives that engage communities in identifying issues affecting them and coming up with creative solutions to address those issues. She has been involved in institutional administrative work, community organization and peacebuilding initiatives, advocacy for social justice, civic education, and media education. Samba has worked both in institutions as well as with women (both religious and non-religious), youth and grassroots communities locally, nationally and regionally.
