Cecilia Clare Kudexa

Sister Cecilia Clare Kudexa, SMMC, is a member of the Women Faith Leaders Fellowship 2024-2025 cohort. She belongs to the Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church Religious Congregation in Ghana who is currently working with catechists and their wives in the rural setting of the Afram Plains, Ghana. Sr. Kudexa has a B.A. in biological sciences and an M.A. in educational administration from Ursuline College in Cleveland, Ohio. She taught in OLA Girls Secondary School in Ho and at the all-boys St. Mary's Seminary Secondary School in Lolobi, Ghana. She was a principal in St. Agatha's Commercial College, Hohoe. Her main interest is in the education and development of young girls and women. She is passionate about women being self reliant and confident in themselves. She has a special interest in working with young girls who are struggling with unplanned motherhood. She retired from Ghana Education Service early because she was elected to give leadership to her religious congregation for 10 years. She enjoys going on outreaches and conferences with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal women's ministry in Ghana.
