Immaculate Apuri
Profile
Sister Immaculate Apuri, SMI, from Ghana, is a member of the Women Faith Leaders Fellowship 2024-2025 cohort. She has dedicated her life to the Christian formation and education of children, girls, women, and the vulnerable, as inspired by the charism of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate. As a pastoral agent, she has been active in youth and school apostolates, and as a member of the SMI General Council, contributed to the growth of the congregation's mission. With extensive teaching experience, she worked with the youth, educators, and stakeholders, serving in leadership roles within the Conference of Heads of Assisted Schools and the Association of Catholic Heads of Higher Institutions in Ghana. Sr. Apuri also served as a counselor, mentor, and advocate for improving education within the Catholic Church and society. Her presence in multiethnic and interfaith environments fostered peace and unity. Currently, as a formator, she continues to embody the charism of the SMI, addressing the challenges and needs of the vulnerable and collaborating with pastoral agents to make a positive impact.
