Pauline Waititu

Sister Pauline Waititu, LDSJ, is, a member of the Women Faith Leaders Fellowship 2024-2025 cohort. She belongs to the Congregation of the Little Daughters of St. Joseph – Kenya and currently an adjunct lecturer at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, where she teaches psychology. A teacher by profession, she specialized in counseling and psychology in her master's and doctoral studies. For the last 20 years, she has worked closely with people with disabilities and is currently working with girls who are intellectually challenged in Kajiado county. Her main task is to facilitate empowerment through capacity building and advocacy. She does this through vocational skills training to equip the vulnerable young women to be self-reliant and sensitizing the local government and communities on the need to protect the rights of women with disabilities and to fight stigma.
